On January 13, 2020, the Monterey County Fire Chiefs Association held it’s annual awards luncheon at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Seaside. The 2019 awards winners above from left to right are: Career Firefighter of the Year Captain Silas Fischer from the Monterey Fire Department, Support Person of the Year Patsy Gasca from the American Red Cross, and Volunteer Firefighter Art Hernandez from the Greenfield Fire Department. Company Officer SeriesApril 9, 2020: Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance with guidelines from the CDC, and following directives from the Sate of California and the County of Monterey, all remaining classes previously scheduled in the Company Officer Series hosted by the MCFTOA have been cancelled. It is our desire to re-schedule the remaining classes later in the year if possible. We will update this website with future information on the status of the classes as it becomes available.
